How to Join 5. Sturm-Bataillon “Rohr”

Thank you for your interest in 5. Sturm-Pionier-Bataillon “Rohr”. Please read the following information concerning unit requirements and Great War Association Bylaws and Safety Regs.

Please, after you read the information, shoot me an email and I will be whappy to answer any questions or schedule a phone call with you to discuss the unit and/or sutlers to buy items from. This is not a cheap impression to do. You should figure approx. $1200.00 to $1500.00 to put a good kit together. Since we are a Sturm (assault) unit, we carry some equipment that is different than a normal infantry Regt. This means a little more expense on our part, but it is definitely worth the extra effort.

Our unit is close-knit and hard working. We require all members to look their best, act the part, work hard and have fun. We want people who are going to give back to the unit and not just not take. Our unit is the second senior unit on the German side and we pride ourselves on our appearance and actions. We expect all members to carry this on. We do not take just anyone. You will be on probation for one year or two events, at which time the unit votes on you. We either keep you and make you a full member, extend your probation one more event or ask you to find another regiment to join.

It sounds like a lot, but it’s really a system to ensure our unit of getting quality people who are enthusiastic and dedicated. We work hard and play hard as a team. At the end of the day we also like to relax and have a few beers and sing songs and tell jokes. If this sounds like this is for you, then give me a call and we’ll help you get your kit together.
